after you leave the pokemon centre your mom and hugh's sister will appear. She will give you the running shoes by which you can run by pressing the Z key. Hugh's sisiter will also give you a town map which can use anytime , you will have a extra map which you have to deliver to Hugh. Now head north and begin your journey. Go northwards on route 19, the passing attendant will give you a potion which is really handy. bianaca will appear once again after some walking and will talk a bit. Now you will learn how to catch a pokemon. Watch her carefully. She will tell you that you should head towards floschy town, you can always view that on your town map.But first you better catch some pokemon.Patrats and Purrloins of level 2-5 will usually appear here. Before leaving the route train your starter pokemon to level 7,so it will learn a new attack. Snivy learns vine whip, Tepig learns ember and Oshwott learns water gun. Halfway through the route you will find a hidden potion in the grass. After you pass by a sign Alder will appear he will jump of a cliff and will examine your pokemon.he walks of towards floschy town you should do the same. Alder will appear again and will wander off again. this is a great chance go and heal your pokemon.Head further north Alder appears again. He will wanna help you train but will notice that you have 2 town Maps and will remember that he saw Hugh go further to route 20. Now head EAST and lets find Hugh at route 20.
